I woke up to the phone ringing and when I answered it I was very angry because it was Becky and I had told her about a million times not to be calling me in the morning but she had news, Steve was in town, big deal I say, I'm going back to sleep (don't freak, I was sleeping and when I'm sleeping, "Nothing Else Matters") Anyway she got me up and said that KISS (the local radio station) was doing a contest where you could come to the station and be Steve's "Personal Assistant" for the day, I'm thinking, yeah right like I'm gonna win. FAST FORWARD I did win, cool huh?

So when I get to the station Steve is not there yet and Kidd (the DJ) makes me go down stairs and wait for him. It was funny because there were a few people milling about you could tell they were looking for Steve, and this one guy says, hey are you Venus? I'm like yes, and so we started talking and at one point he says there he is and I freak and he says just kidding, and then later he says it again and I'm like yeah right, and he says no really. I walk up to Steve and the guy with him says not now and I say I'm with the station so we ride up in the elevator together and I introduce myself and tell him if there is anything he needs during his stay that I would gladly do it. The first thing he asked was where is the bathroom and of course I did not know, I felt very stupid, (oh yeah I work here but I don't know where the bathroom is) Anyway so when we get into the DJ Booth Kidd introduces us on the air and asks Steve if he has met his personal assistant Venus and Steve says..."Venus is taking care of me, my life is good" oh my I feel faint........

Ok, better now.

So for the rest of the morning we were mostly on the air talking and laughing. During the commercials and when they were playing music, me and steve talked quite a bit but you know I did not ask him any probing questions, the one question I always wanted to ask him was where did the necklace come from but did I think of it NOOO... oh well I knew the answer by then anyway. I wish I would have had more time to prepare. I didn't even have time to do my hair and makeup very good. It was so cool because when Steve was talking to the DJ he would say funny stuff and nudge me with his elbow and everytime I thought I might pass out.

Very memorable moments...

I told Steve about the time that my "friends" told me that he was dead just to see my reaction and they let me think it was true for an entire afternoon and Steve hugged me and said, "its ok I'm still here." wowowowow

I mislaid the CD that I brought with me to the studio that Steve had signed for me and he helped me look for it and when we couldn't find it he was so upset and he signed a promo photo for me, and then I found it and he said he was so glad that I hadn't lost it.

Steve was inside another room doing some photos with the DJ and when he came out I was standing by the wall and some reporters were at the other end of the room, and he walked out and said hey I know you and he put his arm around me!!!

I got him coffee and we shared a bagel.
