Steve Perry saved my life! When I was only 13 years old I was being molested, beatened, and torn apart. I was just about to quit on it. One day my dad took me to a music store called "Sam Goody". I loved that place it had every CD/DVD that I wanted. My dad was looking at DVD's when all the sudden he picked up one and it was called "Journey Greatest Hits". I didn't know Journey at the time, but had heard some of their songs before.
When we finally made it back home he asked me to watch it with him, so I did. I fell in LOVE with Steve Perry! After that everthing changed. I bought all of their CD's and DVD's. Every time I felt like letting go of my life, I would go in my room,and cry my eyes out, but when I heard the song "Don't Stop Believin'", thats exactly what I did. I was still kinda lost though in a way. Everyone in my family was concerned about me. I had been straving myself and lost alot of weight ( which still doesn't make you any prettier, because its the inside that counts) I went from 168 to 121 in just one month.
One day though I finally had gotten the courage to come out and tell what was wrong. After a couple of months I went back to the old Stephanie! I now am at a heathy weight for me, I don't take anyone crap, and I'm a stronger women. If it wasn't for Steve I would have never told, or made it. I was dying slowly, but got on my feet again.
So Thank You Steve for everthing! Your songs, love, sweetness, and giving back my life. My life is so much better now. I'm 14 years old and enjoy life. Thanks again Steve Perry for saving my life, and I love you with all my heart. I hope that one day I get to meet my hero! I love you Steve Perry
