I watched a youtube video, when someone throws a beerbottle on Neal’s head , and when someone throws something at Steve’s head, and Steve got upset, i got upset, and sad, it broke my heart, i would never want to see Steve get sad.
Everyday when i look at some pictures of Steve, i don’t know why but i see sadness behind those eyes :(
/ Sandra , Thank you Steve for everything, i really love you<3

The BEST time of my life was in 1982 when my college friends took me to see Steve Perry and Journey in St. Louis. That was the best concert I ever saw and I still love listening to Journey. Steve is the best singer ever and when I’m down I go to youtube and watch his videos.
Darlene, my South African internet friend for a decade now, had never listened to Journey. ( She lives in Hong Kong because her husband works there.) I turned her on to Journey 2 years ago when I’d play their music in our private Paltallk chatroom. She has all of their music now, and like myself, is crazy about Steve Perry and his voice. I couldn’t believe she had never heard their music, even tho she lived in S.A. until 2000.

P.S. – We love you Steve!!!

I met Steve and all the members of Journey back in (cough) 1979. It would be 1 of 3 times that our worlds would collide.

My mom worked for Hyatt Hotels, and she would get backstage passes to every concert coming to town. At the ripe old age of 15, I went to my first Journey concert here in Phoenix. 3 backstage concerts and I’ll never forget how nice Steve was to the fans. (not to mention OMG gorgeous!!) Since those days, I’ve seen Journey in concert with both lead singers that stepped in to fill some very big shoes left behind by Mr. Perry.

Although the Journey concerts are still fun to go to, I cant help but miss Steve Perry singing to me in a crowd of thousands…….

……at least it sure seemed that way.
xoxo Steve!

I used to be a frequent singer/songerwriter, and I would always be inspired by singing along with Steve Perry’s melodic voice. His voice range was compatible with my range, and this made it easy for me to sing along with any of his recordings. I can’t bring up any favorites, in light of “they” are ALL my favorites… because of his voice, which has beautiful resonance, and with his voice quality and style, it automatically takes you to a natural and positive state of mind. I attended two concerts. One in Springfield, IL where I gave Steve a rose during his performance through the security personnel since I was close to the stage area; however, I never had the opportunity to actually meet Steve. I did have one dream during my time as a frequent writer. We were just sitting in the park discussing music and writing. Then of course, I woke up…

My wife and i went to look at a house we were goimg to buy and in the vacant lot i noticed a cardboard box. I took it home and to our surprise were books most of them 100 years old. also was an old city directory from1949 from the city of Hanford Ca, I was stationed in the city next to Hanford 30 years ago and heard millions of stories about Steve Perry growing up there. I thought i would see if there were anybody named Perry in this directory and to my surprise i not only found hjs parents Steven Ray Perry was listed as well.He was just born in January of that year.It was protocol to list everyone who lived in the house since not to many people had phones. this is probably the first time Steve was ever in print considering he was probably only 5 or 6 months old. If i ever run into Steve he can have it im sure it would have alot of memories foe him, so if anybody sees him let him know what i have. thanks

Dear Steve

Not if you have luck and some day you can read the lines of your fans. Today I went out for a walk near my house and walked into a Pal could not find your hard Playlist, fortunately I could call and within a week I’ll be enjoying it.

I tell you that I love to hear some news of you, not to keep your heart feelings, but if you open a bit you would realize that many of us fans that we love to hear you sing again, represent a lot to us.

We love you, for me, your songs are the soudtrack of my life. I hope you are well and with great affection and respect Claudia tu fan # 1 in Mexico City. Kisses and hugs always.

My former husband knew Steve when they played together in a band in Hanford, CA. Steve played drums, my husband, Dan Perez (or Danny as he was known then), played sax and his brother, Tom Perez, played guitar. At first I didn’t believe this story, but my mother in law confirmed that it was true. They practiced in her garage. In 1986 we went to see Journey here in Fresno. We weren’t able to get backstage. About a year or so before that, Steve had called Tom. He had come home when his mother passed away. We were to get together with him on a Saturday night, but the fog was so bad between Fresno and Lemoore, we couldn’t get down there. Dan passed away 4 years ago. We tried to reach Steve to let him know, but could not find a way to contact him. My daughter works for Pollstar Magazine, the Bible of the music business, but they couldn’t even find out how to contact him. Tom still lives in Hanford. Steve, he would love to see you!

Last nite I heard the biggest assault to my ears.

I went to Corona, Dos Lagos to be exact and they were having a tribute band called “Lights” do journey music. There were over a thousand people or more, so longing for Steves music. First the band came out and each one had big pot bellies.

When the lead singer came out , it looked like Steve Perry in drag.

This guy had a short red jacket a la Steve Perry, with a lose black t shirt, jeans. His shirt didnt cover his belly and every time he lifted his arms, which was quite frequent, you could see his big belly. He wore a wig, which was long and his face looked like botox hell.

The band was good, but the singer, there are no words.

Steve you must stop this, In the name of your artistry and your voice. I figure these people have to pay to sing your music., but I think you should have a say so over who does your music, for they represent you.

OMG Steve, if you were to play one arena , there wouldnt be venue(maybe Dodger stadium) that could hold all the people. People are thirsting for your voice and personality and artistry that only you can convey.

Think about it Steve, or please stop these impersonators, its dreadful. Stop this insanity.!

tu amici Bettina(Roberto’s X wife)
