Steve Perry at the Giants Game, 5/19/03
By Bud

While sitting at Bank One Ball park in Phoenix this week, I was stunned to see Steve Perry walk by. I introduced myself and promptly told him about my experience seeing him with Journey. I was impressed by how polite and geniune he was. He asked my name and what I do for a living. He even introduced me to his friend! He recalled how he must have been nervous when I saw him at the Long Beach Arena in May, 1978 because it was one of his first shows with Journey. Meeting Mr. Perry was an incredible thrill for me, as I have been listening to Journey since their early days.

Steve Perry did a huge favor for me
By Debbie

I met Steve Perry in a Country/Western nightclub in Fresno, California, on October 4, 1987. Steve was out with his buddy, Doug (it was Doug’s birthday) and several of Doug’s other friends.

I was there with my friend, also named Debbie, and my ex-boyfriend happened to be in the club that night, too. This ex-boyfriend had raked me over the coals for nearly 3 years, harassing me with the help of the woman he’d left me for.

When leaving, Steve stopped by my table and spoke to me. The ex-boyfriend saw this, and was immediately at my feet, giving me his phone number and asking me to call him.Steve helped me get the “revenge” (and closure) I needed on that relationship! Thanks, Steve!!!

My night with Steve
By Christine

I was in High School. A group of us planned to go see Journey. The day before the concert, I realized it was going to be JUST me and the guy driving to the concert. I backed out. I didn`t know him well, and figured I`d catch the next concert, as I was a AVID Steve Perry fan. I was crushed when the band broke up. I drove my friends and family nuts with my obsession with Steve. I liked Journey, but STEVE was JOURNEY!

Fast forward to 1994. I`m married, 3 little boys and one on the way. Steve Perry is coming to the Rochester Auditorium Theatre in Nov 94. My Birthday is 11/19, so My husband bought tickets. I was ECSTATIC! The day of the concert, there was news on the radio, that Steve had gotten sick, and wouldn`t be performing. The concert would be rescheduled. It was the WORST B-Day of my life. I cried for 2 days. I`m a 26 year old woman crying over Steve.

Anyway….January 1995, Steve is COMING! I was sooooo excited. Keep in mind..By now, I`m 7 months pregnant! My husband and I arrive at the Rochester Auditorium Theatre. I could hardly stand the wait. FINALLY Out came Steve..T-Shirt, torn jeans, flannel shirt, and workboots! Hair in a ponytail. I screamed so loud my throat hurt!

About halfway through his performance, I went down to the front corner of the stage. A security guard was sitting there, and wouldn`t let me get any closer, and as I was arguing, Steve started toward my corner of the stage. He didn`t come all the way over, but far enough for me to almost faint!!! That was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of my life.

2 months later my son was born, and I named him Aaron RAY! Ray is Steve Perry`s middle name!!! I`m now 35 years old, and still obsessed. I have a Journey DVD that I watch almost daily, and my 5 year old daughter knows all the members of the band, and she LOVES Steve Perry! She sings along with him, and knows all of the hand gestures for all of the songs! I still drive my friends and family insane over my obsession, but Steve Perry is the HOTTEST, SEXIEST man alive!!!

That`s my story. I saw him perform, and would definitely see him again given half a chance!!!!
