Hey everybody, nothing new to report on Steve but I want to thank everybody who have left their comments and messages in the comment area and thank you for sharing your stories. I really appreciate it, keep doing it, keep posting your words of encouragement or disappointment, who knows someday Steve might just drop by and read them.

Dear Mr. Perry i recently came across something from your past that im sure will bring back a flood of memories. My wife and i live in bakersfield and we were looking to buy another home.Next to this home i spotted a large box and when i looked inside it was full of old books, so i loaded it in the trunk of my car and headed home. T o my surprise some of these books were over 100 years old. It also had an old directory from Hanford Ca. I was amarine stationed at N.A.S. Lemoore in the 70s so i was familiar with the stories we heard about you growing up in Lemoore, i always thought they wre just that rumors. Anyway i thought i would look to see if i saw anybody named Perry listed and sure enough there was one couple with that name. Not sure of the years you lived there i loked it up on a Steve Perry website and it gave the name of your parents and the year you were born and then i had my socks blown off the directory i have is of 1949 the year you were born and the couple is Raymond and his wife Mary C and it listed Stephen Ray Perry, but i didnt think it was you, you were just born 5 months earlier. then i read the front pages and it said how to use the directory. The husband was listed first then the address then the wifes name and then any and all children that resided in the home alli could think of was oh my god that is Steve Perry when he was 5 months old. I bet thers not alot of these floating around. The book says there was only 4800 copies printed by The ChurchOf Latter Day Saints.Im just not sure what to do with it . Im sure it is one hell of a collectors item.I have had 2 jobs in the last twentfive years one was a Junior High School and when i turned 40 i thought what do i wnt to do in life where i can make the biggest impact i possibly can, so i left teaching and enrolled at Cal State Bakersfield to study Drug and Alcohol Studies. I completed my 2 years there and thats when i became a drug and alcohol counselor something i always wanted to do( i spent a good portion of the seventies and eighties doing the personal research thing til it almost killed me) Both my jobs required a high ethical and moral responsibility to myself and others. uite a bit and to tell you the truth my inside says that this is Mr Perrs past and if the man wants it then by all means the man should have it, i just want to make sure it does land in your hands and i dont see it on e bay in a month going for an ungodly amount of money, so by all means if you want it its yours. If you feel compelled to do something nice for me i do have one thing and only after you have the directory and only if you ask ther are no strings attached to this it is a gift from me and my daughter Anmber

I want to THANK YOU for all these years you have shared the beauty of your voice and music with all of us. Sorry to say ive never been to one of your concerts, I would have loved to. IVE never been to any concert. Wished I had.

U are the best, U have no idea how many times I would like to born in the 70′s and go to your tours in the 80′s and see u in a concert.
